sorry my esperanto is too bad

anode and cathode do not refer to plus or minus potential, but the refer to collecting or distributing electrons to the surrounding material

anode = collector for electrons
cathode = distributor for electrons

a anode may have positive or negativ potential
a cathode may have positive or negative potential

when an accumulator is charged then the negative pole is cathode (brings additional electrons in the electrolyte) and the positive pole is anode.

when an accumulator is discharged the negative pole is anode (collects electrons from the electrolyte and gives it to the circuit supplied) and the positive pole is kathode.

so don't mix up (anode and cathode) on the one hand with (positve pole and negative pole) on the other hand.

I try it in esperanto:
katode estas elektrodo kiel kolektas elektronojn
anodo estas elktrodo kiel distribuas elektronojn en la elektrolito

• Dankon, Klaus. La artikolo estas tre baza kaj simpla, nur ĝermeto. Mi ne estas fizikisto, do mi ne sentas taŭga por reverki pli bona artikolo. Tamen, se vi povus verki mallongan (kaj pli korektan) ĝermon anglalingve, mi tradukus ĝin.
