The Cross and Flame is the symbol of the United Methodist church, adopted in 1968. The cross represents Christ while the flame represents the Holy Spirit of pentecost.

The flame is not related to the Ku Klux Klan practice of burning crosses.

Oni kredas ke la uzado de malbonkvalitaj distingivaj logo-bildoj por ilustri la koncernan firmaon, sportan teamon, aŭ organizaĵon ĉe la Esperanto-lingva Vikipedio, gastigata je serviloj en Usono de la publikutila organizaĵo Wikimedia Foundation, sufiĉas laŭ justa uzado laŭ la Aŭtorrajta Leĝaro de Usono.
