William James DURANT ([d ə ˈ r Æ n t]; 5a de novembro 1885 - 7a de novembro 1981) estis usona verkisto, historiisto, kaj filozofo. Li estas plej konata pro The Story of Civilization (La Rakonto de Civilizo), nome 11 volumoj skribitaj en kunlaboro kun lia edzino, Ariel Durant, kaj publikigitaj inter 1935 kaj 1975. Li pli frue estis konata por The Story of Philosophy (1926), priskribita kiel "mirinda laboro kiu helpis popularigi filozofion".[1]
