Hugo Grotius

Hugo GROTIUS (nederlande Huigh aŭ Hugo de Groot) (naskiĝis la 10-an de aprilo 1583 en Delft (Nederlando); mortis la 28-an de aŭgusto 1645 en Rostock) estis politika filozofo, teologo kaj juristo.

Grotius estas rigardata kiel unu el la intelektaj spiritoj de la ideo de nacia suvereneco, de la doktrino de natura juro kaj de publika internacia juro.

Verko

Grotius kreis la bazon de la moderna internacia (interŝtata) juro per sia libro De jure belli ac pacis („La juro de milito kaj paco“). La libro aperis en 1625 en Parizo kaj estas rigardata kiel la majstra verko de Grotius. Multfoje ĝi estis reeldonita en la 17-a kaj 18-a jarcentoj.
