Iain Crichton SMITH aŭ Iain Mac a' Ghobhainn (naskiĝis la 1-an de januaro 1928 en Glasgovo - mortis la 15-an de oktobro 1998) estis skota poeto kaj verkisto, kiu verkis kaj en la angla kaj en sia denaska gaela lingvo.

Vivo

Li translokiĝis al la insulo Lewis en la Foraj Hebridoj en la aĝo de du jaroj, kie li kreskis. Li poste studis ĉe la Universitato de Aberdeen kaj komencis labori kiel instruisto. Li instruis en Clydebank, Dumbarton kaj Oban ĝis li fariĝis plentempa verkisto en 1977.
