Patrice Pavis estas profesoro pri Teatraj Studoj ĉe la Universitato de Kent en Canterbury, Anglio. Li verkis etende pri teatroludado kaj libera ludado (improvizado), fokuze al studo kaj enketado cefe pri semiologio kaj interkulturismo en teatro. Li ricvis la premion Georges Jamati en 1986.
