Louis "Studs" TERKEL (n. la 16-an de majo 1912 en Novjorko, Novjorkio ; m. la 31-an de oktobro 2008 en Ĉikago, Ilinojso) estis usona verkisto kaj radio-prezentisto. Li famiĝis ĉefe pro siaj radio- intervjuoj — li nomis ilin "konversacioj " — kiel pioniro de parola historio kaj ĵaz- ŝatanto. Li priskribis sin kiel gerilan ĵurnaliston. [1][2]
Li ricevis la kromnomon Studs pro sia simileco al Studs Lonigan, la rolulo en la trilogio de romanoj de James T. Farrell pri la vivo de viro el humila fono en Ĉikago.[3]
