English: A Dog Soldier of the Cheyenne as drawn by Cheyenne Richard Davis. The man holds a rattle with dew claws of a deer or a pronghorn. He wears a scarf (a dog rope) to pin to the ground during fight as a sign of no-retreat. His head dress is made with tail feathers of an eagle and at the sides with feathers from the crow and the hawk. |
