Stema comunei Mărtiniș, potrivit anexei nr. 1.2, se compune dintr-un scut triunghiular cu marginile rotunjite, tăiat de un brâu undat de argint.

În partea superioară, în câmp de azur, se află un porumbel de argint în zbor din profil dreapta, înconjurat de 12 stele de aur în cinci colțuri așezate în formă de romb, flancat la dreapta de un soare de aur și la stânga de o semilună de argint, ambele figurate.

În partea inferioară, în câmp verde, se află un cerb auriu din profil dreapta, boncăluind.

Scutul este timbrat de o coroană murală de argint cu un turn crenelat.

Semnificațiile elementelor însumate

Porumbelul, simbolul creștinătății, reprezintă Sfântul Duh, pace, dragoste, armonie și speranță, iar aștrii figurați provin din tradiția heraldică a zonei.

Cerbul reprezintă bogăția cinegetică a zonei.

Brâul undat simbolizează râul Homorod, care străbate localitatea.

Cele douăsprezece stele reprezintă numărul satelor componente ale comunei.

Coroana murală cu un turn crenelat semnifică faptul că localitatea are rangul de comună.
