La nova Vikipedia programo (instalita en decembro 2002) enkondukis la novan koncepton de nomspacoj. (Por programistoj, ĝi funkcias simile kiel la komputillingvoj C++ aŭ Java.) Se oni kreas normalan paĝon per [[ligilo]], oni kreas alternativan paĝon en alia nomspaco per [[nomspaco:ligilo]].

La "Vikipediisto" nomspaco estas por memprezentoj de uzantoj de Vikipedio. Se vi vidas ke la uzanto, Chuck SMITH, ĝisdatigis kelkajn paĝojn en la Lastaj ŝanĝoj-listo, ĉi tiu uzantnomo ne estas ligilo al Chuck SMITH, sed al Vikipediisto:Chuck SMITH.

La "Diskuto" nomspaco estas uzata kie /Priparolu subpaĝoj estis uzata en la malnova programo. Ni ne plu subtenas subpaĝojn ĉar ili konfuzis homojn.
