Alexander Graham BELL (naskiĝis la 3-an de marto 1847 en Edinburgh, Skotlando, mortis la 2-an de aŭgusto 1922 en Baddeck, Nova-Skotio, Kanado) estis la inventinto de la unua bone funkcianta telefono kaj entreprenegisto.
En la jaro 1870 li elmigris al Kanado kaj jaron poste al Usono. Ekde 1882 li estis usona civitano.
La unua tre primitiva telefono estis inventita de la germana fizikisto Philipp Reis en la jaro 1861. Bell, kiu cetere estis fiziologo pri la homa voĉo kaj instruisto pri la gesta lingvo (lia patrino estis surda), plibonigis ĝin tiamaniere, ke la parolado povis esti transdonata en bone komprenebla kvalito. Sian telefonon li prezentis en la jaro 1876: Je la 10-a de marto li unuafoje telefonis kun sia kolego, Thomas A. Watson, sidanta en la apuda ĉambro.
Bell krome inventis ilon por mezuri la aŭdkapablon, ilon por loki metalajn objektojn en la homa korpo, cilindron por registri sonojn kaj diversaĵojn por la aviadtekniko.
En 1876 Bell pliefikigis la telefonon kaj starigis telefonsistemon. Ekestis Bell Telephone Company, kiu poste evoluis al la plej granda telefonkompanio de la mondo AT&T. En 1925 stariĝis Bell Telephone Laboratories, kiuj kunigis la esplorsekciojn de AT&T kaj Western Electric Company.
