Actually, I first heard about Esperanto about five years ago, while I was in university, and I've been meaning to learn it since then. I even wrote a paper about it in my intro linguistics class and got the prof. mildly interested. The Vikipedio was the final nudge I needed. -- Stephen GILBERT

Actually, I was suggesting it as a way to expand your knowledge of Esperanto. You will retain the new vocabulary better if you are writing and talking about something that matters in your life. That's part of why I am translating articles for the Vikipedio. I'm translating things that I care about.
