Saluton! Dear community members. This request for adminship may appear a little strange to you. I have no knowledge of Esperanto, but I still request sysop status here. The background of this request is that I would like to assist your community in straightening out your media repository. At the time of writing you have over 22.000 media files, and at least 3.100 of them collide with files on Wikimedia Commons[1]. An unknown number of files are equal to a file with another name on Commons[2]. I have held a short discussion with Yekrats about this and offered my help. He has indicated that he and Arno Lagrange are willing to accept this help. If you were to grant me a sysop status on this Wikipedia, I would only work on the Image: namespace, deleting duplicate media, deleting media that have the same or another name at Wikimedia Commons, and fix links in content pages so that your pages will keep on looking the same, with less redundancy. In a later stage, if the first round of cleaning has been completed, I could assist in auditing the remaining media's licenses and moving properly licensed media to Commons.

A little bit about myself: I am a long time contributor to the Dutch language Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons (both 50.000+ edits and a sysop status), an experienced bot operator (CommonsDelinker, SieBot) working on interwiki links and media files with over 5.000.000 edits and I have already moved about 50.000 media files from local Wikimedia wikis to Wikimedia Commons. Aside from that, I am a pywikipediabot and MediaWiki developer and a project lead at Betawiki, the MediaWiki localisation project.

Saluton! Karaj gekomunumunaj. Ĉi tiu peto por administranta statuso povas ŝajni al vi iom stranga. Mi havas neniun scion de Esperanto, tamen mi petas administrantan statuson ĉi tie. La fono de tiu peto estas ke mi ŝatus helpi vian komunumon korekti vian dosierejon. En la momento kiam mi skribas vi havas pli ol 22 000 mediodosierojn, kaj almenaŭ 3 100 kolizias kun dosieroj en Komunejo [3]. Nekonata nombro da dosieroj estas samaj kun alia nomo en Komunejo [4]. Mi mallonge diskutis kun Yekrats pri tio kaj proponis mian helpon. Li menciis ke li kaj Arno Lagrange estas akceptontaj tiun helpon. Se vi donus al mi administrantan statuson en ĉi tiu Vikipedio, mi estus laboronta nur en la Dosiera nomspaco, forigante duplikatajn dosierojn, dosierojn kun sama aŭ malsama nomo en Komunejo, kaj riparante ligilojn en entenaj paĝoj tiel ke viaj paĝoj plu same aspektos, kun malpli da redundanco. En pli posta stadio, se la unua puriga fazo estas plenumita, mi povus helpi ekzameni la restantajn mediodosierajn licencojn kaj movi taŭge licencitajn dosierojn al Komunejo.

Iom ete pri mi mem : mi estas de longa tempo kontribuanto de nederlandlingva Vikipedio kaj de Komunejo (en ambaŭ pli ol 50 000 redaktoj kaj administranta statuso), kaj sperta robotfunkciigisto (CommonsDelinker, SieBot) laborante pri interlingvaj ligiloj kaj mediodosieroj kun pli ol 5 milionoj da redaktoj kaj jam movis ĉirkaŭ 50 000 mediodosierojn el lokaj Vikimediaj projektoj al Komunejo.    Dankegon. Mi tamen opinias, ke via administranta statuso tie ĉi estu nur provizora, simple por helpi nin pri la nuna krizo. Estontece, tre gravas laŭ mi, ke ni fariĝu pli responsaj, tiel ke esperantistoj finfine mem kapablu administri sian enciklopedion.
