Eugene A. DELCROIX (naskiĝinta en 1891, mortinta en 1967[1]) estis usona fotisto kaj fota artisto.
Estante profesia fotografo dum kvin jardekoj li kreis ege sensivan verkaron. En ĝi li intencis ĉiam klare distingi inter formoj kaj prezentado. Unue li laboris por la nov-orleanaj firmaoj de C. Bennette Moore kaj Anthony H. Hitchler antaŭ ol iĝi liberprofesiulo.
Tiam li ne plu koncentriĝis pri portretoj sed pri la fotado de arkitekturaĵoj, placoj, kortoj, naturaĵoj (ekz. hiacintoj; musko descendanta de arboj), flosoj, ferkonstruaĵoj ktp. En 1938 la eldonejo de Joseph S. W Harmanson eldonis antologion de liaj fotoj sub la titolo Patios, Stairways, and Iron Lace Balconies of Old New Orleans. Komentis la tuton Stanley Clisby Arthur kiu ne nur egaligis lin al aliaj famaj kolegoj en la rolo de fota historiografo sed eĉ substrekis lian superecon.[2] Cetere, Arthur ĉi-tie taksis Nov-Orleanon la plej interesa urbo de Usono. Bildoj de li aperis samjare ankaŭ en la periodaĵo "Pencil Points".[3]
En 1994 (januaro-majo) okazis la unua granda eksponado de verkoj de li post lia morto fare de "Historic New Orleans Collection". En ĝi ankaŭ oni memoris pri lia longjara engaĝiĝo ĉe "New Orleans Camera Club" kies anojn li ege influis. La menciita kolekto ricevis la verkojn en 1984 fare de Artomuzeo de Nov-Orleano; al ili estis donacintaj la bildojn Joel Jurgens kaj la edzino de Delcroix, Aimée. En 2017 oni ciferecigis pli ol 5000 vitroplatnegativojn de la fota artisto.
