Sidney Sheldon

Sidney SHELDON (naskiĝis la 11-an de februaro 1917 en Ĉikago, Ilinojo, mortis la 30-an de januaro 2007 en Rancho Mirage, Kalifornio) estis usona verkisto kaj scenaristo.

Li komencis sian karieron kiel 20-jarulo en Hollywood, kie li prilaboris filmscenarojn. Post la Dua Mondmilito li verkis musikalojn por la Broadway-teatro, krome li daŭrigis sian scenar-laboron por la firmaoj Metro Goldwyn Mayer kaj Paramount. Sian plej gravan sukceson li havis en 1947, kiam li gajnis Oskaron pro la scenaro de la filmo The Bachelor and the Bobby-Soxer.

Sheldon ankaŭ agis kiel reĝisoro kaj produktoro kaj li verkis la scenarojn por televidserioj. En 1984 la verko aperis kiel filmo, kun Roger Moore en la ĉefrolo. Pliaj romanoj sekvis, kaj grandparte ili estis filmigitaj. En 2005 aperis liaj memoroj The Other Side of Me.

Sidney Sheldon mortis 89 jarojn aĝa de pulmoinflamo.
