Samuel COLERIDGE-TAYLOR (15a de Aŭgusto 1875 – 1a de Septembro 1912) estis angla komponisto kaj dirigento kiu estis miksrasulo; lia patro estis kreola kuracisto de Sieraleono. Coleridge-Taylor atingis tian sukceson ke li estis aludita de blankulaj novjorkaj muzikistoj kiel la "Afrika Mahler" kiam li faris tri turneojn de Usono komence de la 1900-aj jaroj.[1] Li estis partikulare konata pro siaj tri kantatoj bazitaj sur la eposa poemo Song of Hiawatha de la usona Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. Coleridge-Taylor premieris la unuan sekcion en 1898, kiam li estis 22jara.
