John Edgar McFADYEN (naskita la 17-an de julio 1870 en Glasgovo; mortinta la 24-an de decembro 1933[1]), B. A. (Oxon), M. A., D. D., estis skota esperantisto kaj profesoro pri la lingvo, la literaturo kaj la teologio de la Malnova Testamento ĉe la Universitato de Glasgovo.
Li produktis tradukojn de kelkaj libroj de la Biblio en tio, kion li nomis "moderna parolado". Liaj tradukoj de Ijobo kaj Psalmoj strebis esti metrikaj, por reflekti siajn poeziajn originalojn.
Li esperantistiĝis en 1907 en Chautauqua, Nov-Jorkio, kaj estis elstara propagandanto de tiu lingvo.
