Pieter MUYSKEN (naskiĝis en 1950 en Oruro, Bolivio, mortis la 6- an de aprilo 2021 [1] [2]) estis nederlanda lingvisto. Lia scienca esplorado fokusiĝis pri la konsekvencoj de plurlingveco en la moderna mondo, lingvoj en kontakto, kreolaj studoj kaj dokumentado de endanĝerigitaj lingvoj.[3]

Li studis ĉe la Universitato Yale, kie li akiris bakalaŭran diplomon. En 1977 li doktoriĝis ĉe la Universitato de Amsterdamo, kie li estis dungita kiel helpa profesoro (1978–1987). En 1989, li iĝis profesoro pri lingvistiko kaj kreolaj studoj en la Universitato de Amsterdamo kaj ekde 1998 en la Universitato de Leiden. En 2001 li iĝis profesoro de lingvistiko ĉe la Radboda Universitato en Nimego.[2]
Li estis membro de la Reĝa Nederlanda Akademio de Sciencoj kaj de la Societo Max Planck.
